We are a small company specializing in Tenor ukulele's for beginner to profesional player's. We are located in Hawaii on the island of Kauai and manufacture our ukulele's in southeast Asia by a well known luthier in Vietnam, to be able to sell a quality Instrument at a reasonable price. Please feel free to check out the luthier so you will know these are not production ukulele's http://www.binhguitar.com Under his tenor ukulele link you will see Hawaiian Koa and the one's hanging on the wall and with the star on the head stock are Hoku Ukuleles. We only produce around six instruments each month to insure that quality is maintained to our standards at all times. We have only one style a Deluxe model, in Hawaiian Koa, Acacia Melanoxylon and Mahogany. All fingerboards are Ebony and come with a 16" radius and bone nut and saddle, 14:1 geared tuners, abalone rosette, all wood bindings no plastic. The radius on the fingerboard will make you're playing easier as it shapes to the natural curve of your fingers when baring a cord. The two most important aspects of an instrument to a player is sound and playability or ease of playing. Each instrument is hand made by a small six man staff to insure top quality to our standards at all time's. Each instrument come's with a free padded travel bag, to protect the instrument in shipping and to get the player started until they decide to purchase something different.
The first thing to do when planning to buy a ukulele is do some research on your options. This is an instrument you will use for a long time, so you should get the perfect ukulele for you. We will offer a wider neck for player's who would like wider than our 38mm standard neck width. The widest we will make will be 40mm due to the string spacing becoming to wide. All instruments will come with D'addario Pro Art'e strings in low "G" for the best sound we can give our instruments and our customers. For the player that wants a High G you just need to change the 4th string to a higher tension G string.

Dear Santa Monica Ukulele Festival,
Thank you for putting on the Ukulele event to support of the SM High School music program.
I came to the event to hear the Ukulele concerto and support the music for the high school kids, and had the fabulous fortune to win the beautiful Hoku Uke. I can’t stop playing – thank you so much!
